Grayson is a personal coach and child and family therapist who focuses her practice on children living with ADHD and other mental health struggles, adults with adjustment issues, parents of children with ADHD, and small business owners. She has experience working with children in many different capacities, from tutor to coach to playmate. These children are diverse in age and challenges, ranging from ADHD and learning disabilities to oppositional behaviors and issues with self-esteem.  Grayson employs play therapy with younger children to help them feel more comfortable with exploring stressful topics.  Not only does she work with children but also with adolescents who may be struggling with their own identity and issues of transition through middle and high school. Together, with the adolescent, Grayson helps identify struggles and work toward feasible solutions.  Often, family therapy is an integral part of adolescent therapy.  Moreover, Grayson’s ability to break projects into smaller, achievable parts gives children and adolescents the needed confidence to tackle daunting tasks.  Her high energy level and passion for new experiences leads to a dynamic interchange between child and therapist/coach.

She also finds enjoyment in her work with parents. Whether their children have ADHD, are stumbling through a difficult stage or the parent just needs some time to figure out their own path in life, Grayson helps to bring clarity to a state of overwhelm and simplicity to complicated situations. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Grayson has training in child development, family dynamics, and personal fulfillment as well as clinical disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and childhood disorders.

Grayson connects best with small business owners and job seekers who are searching for clarity, focus, and direction in their life and work. Her clients often begin their coaching in a state of overwhelm and confusion, yet sincerely seek balance, ease and simplicity. Whether the topic of discussion is life balance or career-focused goals, Grayson’s ability to listen and restate the client’s story helps establish new perspectives and inspire fresh ideas that are energizing and exciting. This energy motivates her clients to push outside their comfort zone, overcome challenges and reach higher levels of success. The newfound skills and behaviors acquired through the coaching process give Grayson’s clients confidence and an assurance that positions them to problem solve and maintain changes that create a lasing impact.

Grayson earned her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Social Work from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She holds her clinical license as an LCSW in the state of North Carolina. She graduated from the Coaches Training Institute of San Rafael, California as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). She has worked as an academic tutor in subjects such as Spanish, Math, and History as well as cared for children with developmental disabilities. She currently works as an outpatient therapist for children, families, and adults, and as a personal and business coach in her own practice in Raleigh, NC.

In her freetime, Grayson and her husband enjoy spending time cooking, making frequent trips to the beach, and playing with their Yorkie, Gatsby.
