Individual Therapy (Child, Adolescent, Young Adult, Adult)
Children: A technique called Play Therapy is used for my work with children. This therapy model was designed to stimulate a child's own ability to soothe themselves in difficult times as well as learn to work through stressful events.
Adolescents: Adolescents can be a difficult population; however, they are my FAVORITE group of clients. They like to challenge the therapist along with most other adults in their life. Issues such as identity development and future planning tend to be of utmost importance at this age. Family therapy is oftentimes an integral part of working with teens as well.
Young Adults: What a stressful time young adulthood is for some. Whether they are in college or working, future planning is often at the forefront of their mind. Learning tough adult lessons also accompany this time. Work with young adults centers around managing the stress of this new life called adulthood.
Adults: Working through life's challenges can sometimes make you think you need a partner or guide outside of your family. Personal support is something that is often lacking. Dealing with depression or anxiety, a growing family, a stressful job, or a failing marraige can all lead to feelings of worthlessness and confusion. Having a partner or guide through these times is a must!

Family Therapy
Family therapy is useful at different points for different families. Some families come because communication at home is ineffective. Some families seek out services for matter of divorce or parental job changes. Others just prefer a neutral party to work out issues that most families face--such as getting chores accomplished, being respectful to other members of the family, and managing the demands of running a household. Whether you have a blended family, nuclear family, or unique family, sometimes having a neutral party is just the right fix!

Couples Therapy
Relational Life Therapy is the model used for couples therapy. All sorts of issues might bring you into couples therapy from pre-marital counseling to creating an effective separation agreement to simply working toward becoming a more connected couple. Regardless of the presenting issue, a few weeks or a few months could quite possibly make all the difference.
