Our Practice

Our Philosophy.

Our practice attracts clients who are highly motivated for change, and often have begun their work but aren’t getting the results they were expecting.

We believe that being clear and direct is what sets our practice apart and is how we are able to create significant change. We work together with clients to understand the changes they want to make and then identify exactly what internal work and resources are needed to facilitate and support such change.

Change is BIG WORK!

We walk alongside our clients every step of the way, both in celebration and failure, to find their voice and develop the necessary skills and confidence needed to thrive. We take big risks while offering lots of compassion and understanding to create success. Through their work, clients gain courage, resilience, clarity, and determination for their future.

Therapy.

Individuals.

Children. Adolescents. Emerging Adults. Adults.

From elementary age to old age, individual therapy is a great way to delve into who you are and how you interact with others. Taking a deeper look inside allows you to learn more about why you do what you do. Anxiety, Depression. ADHD. Substance Abuse, Failure to Launch issues, Adjustments to new situations. These are all areas of expertise in our practice.

Families.

Sometimes individual therapy just isn’t enough to have a peaceful home and family life. Family therapist is an added layer that can aid in helping family members feel heard. Through this process, each person involved, parents and children, is allowed an opportunity to express how they feel. Our therapists serve as moderators to this process. We want to hear what changes you would like to see within your family and home. We are here to address issues and strategize for a more peaceful family life.

Parents.

Parenting is a daunting task- if you are doing it well! There is no guidebook and it’s even more frustrating when there are other issues complicating matters. We work together with parents to better understand the type of parent you strive to be and to help implement strategies that will aid in that process. We also assess for mental health issues impacting your child’s development as well as teach age appropriate expectations and assist in these implementing strategies at home.

Couples.

Love. Commitment. Compromise. Acceptance. Patience. Dedication. Understanding. All words that describe partnerships. Life throws major upsets to solid relationships and we are here to help you and your partner struggle through those tough times. We use Relational Life Therapy skills and strategies to assist in grounding your relationship. And for those relationships coming to an end, we are here to make that process as tolerable as possible.

Coaching.

Goals. Projects. Efficiency. Clarity. Time management. Overwhelm. Procrastination. Simplicity. Do any of these words resonate with your life? Everyone experiences some or all of these on a daily basis. And sometimes, we need to just slow down and take a moment to be present. Being deliberate about your life and work will yield limitless results! When you decide to work with one of our coaches, you will embark on a collaborative process tailored specifically to accomplish your goals. Your coach will first hear what your goals are and then, together, you will create a plan that best accomplishes them. Together, you will transform your overwhelm into clarity and focus, find direction through passion and purpose, work through the “stickiness” of getting started, and find motivation to carry you through completion. Through this process, you will learn to trust your instincts, leading to confident decisions. You will discover yourself in a WHOLE NEW WAY! Each plan includes strategies, skills, accountability, and forward movement until your goals are reached.

ADHD. Business.

Is performance a concern? Are your child’s teachers saying focus and motivation are a problem at school? Is your boss constantly complaining about your performance or lateness? Do you feel like you are constantly busy but not accomplishing much? This is often what we hear from clients about their struggles with ADHD. Executive functioning is often impaired in areas such as time management, organization, goal setting, academic strategies, breaking down projects into achievable parts, and even difficulty with social skills. If you fee like you struggle in any of these areas, you could benefit from ADHD coaching. With students, we focus on academics as well as the home environment. Assessment of school choice, goodness of fit with class choice, and use of school resources will all be addressed. Additionally, we delve into a better understanding any psychoeducational testing your child may have. For parents of ADHD children, we focus on power struggles, limit setting, effective communication, and self care. For adults, whether at work or at home, we can help you tackle the smallest to the most daunting projects. Strategies to use at the office as well as interventions at home are all part of our skill set to share!

“If you continue to do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”
